Maria Margarita Montemayor-Nograles is the Chief Operating Officer of the Tourism Promotions Board Philippines. A dynamic leader with a strong background in marketing, entrepreneurship, and social enterprise, committed to driving innovation and excellence in Philippine tourism. Before answering the call to public service, She co-founded KMMONO Inc., the creative force behind Kaayo Modern Mindanao, a social enterprise dedicated to providing sustainable livelihood for indigenous communities in the southern Philippines. As Creative Director, she played a pivotal role in product development and marketing, fueled by a vision to see every Filipino proudly wearing and celebrating Filipino craftsmanship. Under her leadership, TPB has earned prestigious recognition, strengthening its position as a key player in global tourism marketing. In 2022, TPB was named Most Improved Government-Owned and Controlled Corporation a testament to its commitment to growth and innovation. In the international arena, TPB was awarded Best National Tourism Organization in Asia for three consecutive years (2023-2025) at the Annual TTG Travel Awards, reaffirming its critical role in promoting the Philippines as a premier destination. Her contributions extend beyond tourism, showcasing her dedication to improving the nation. She has been recognized for her impact on both community development and environmental sustainability, receiving the Community Impact Leader Award and Environmental Stewardship Award at the 2024 OFW Party List’s Impact Awards in partnership with the GCG. Her influence in the fashion industry has also been acknowledged by MEGA Fashion Awards, Tatler, and PeopleAsia to name a few, celebrating her contributions to cultural preservation and her outstanding achievements in sales and branding. With a deep passion for heritage, sustainability, and global collaboration, She continues to lead TPB with a clear vision: to elevate the Philippines as a world class travel destination.
