Hospitality Development Expert Mr. Bissat is the Vice President of Investments and Business Development at Taiba Investments, the leading hospitality company in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Taiba is an owner-developer-operator of hotel properties in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Even though its focus is hospitality, Taiba holds diverse investment properties such as residential compounds and retail plazas. Role Mr. Bissat is responsible for the long-term growth of the company, strategizing and overseeing new development or acquisition opportunities, controlling the investment process and ensuring effective portfolio management. In addition, he leads the company’s risk diversification and asset enhancement initiatives through recycling or divestment, and capital market activities. Mr. Bissat also manages relationships with key external stakeholders. Mr. Bissat has deep knowledge of the Saudi real estate market having spent more than 15 years in this sector. Background Prior to joining Taiba in 2022: - Mr. Bissat held senior partnerships and business development positions in various Saudi real estate organizations (Qiddiya, Royal Commission of Riyadh City – Diplomatic Quarter Office). - At KPMG, he advised various real estate organizations on their critical development strategies and execution plans. - Lead Benchmark Saudia, a real estate development company based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. - Served as advisor at Saudi Oger covering investments, property development, and portfolio divesture. - Helped establish and served as CFO of a real estate private-lending fund in Quebec – Canada. - At Al Mal Capital in Dubai he participated in the Initial Public Offering of Drake & Scull and was the investment bank’s lead on real estate transactions. - Lead the business development and investments team at Saraya Holdings, taking resort projects from initial concept to construction: orchestrating market research, feasibility studies, project planning, funding structure, defining design requirements, and selecting hotel operators. Tenure and Education For one of Taiba’s portfolio companies, Mr. Bissat acts as a board member and chairs its executive committee. Mr. Bissat holds a Master of Finance from the École supérieure de commerce de Paris (ESCP), and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Studies and Public Administration from the American University of Beirut.
