About Raising Futures
Raising Futures works with marginalized communities to deliver an award-winning youth training programme, called Seed of Hope.
Seed of Hope offers free training to vulnerable young people in Kenya, aged 14-25, (65-70% girls), in vocational skills , business skills and IT skills, alongside a package of wellbeing and practical support, to empower them to become self-reliant through creation of and or access to employment. 84% of our graduates gain employment or set up their own small businesses within 9 months of graduating, and earn enough to live above the World Bank Poverty Line while the others also transition to further education. They work in close partnership with communities where our projects are situated to design needed courses and services to ensure we are responding to real needs in the society and for community ownership.
They also work closely with government authorities, private corporations and other NGOs and Civil Society Organizations in the areas where we work to ensure collective and collaborative impact of our work. Raising Futures Kenya NGO also works in close partnership through a living MOU with Raising Futures Kenya UK CIO which greatly supports the work of the Kenya NGO through fundraising to enable the implementation of the free training programme.
