Hassan Alahdab is the Chief Hospitality Operations Office at Taiba Investments, a leading Saudi-based company with a track record of investing in and developing real estate properties with strategic projects in the city’s central region. He oversees operations and aligns the company’s overall vision with the growth of a diverse investment portfolio, including operating hotels and those currently under development across Saudi Arabia. Formerly the President of Hotels Operations for Dur Hospitality, Alahdab played a pivotal role in seamlessly integrating Dur Hospitality's elaborate network into Taiba Investments’ expansive portfolio. While working with Dur, he orchestrated the company’s expansion and the rollout of its leading home-grown brands, including Makarem and Nur by Makarem, while also managing its global partnerships with global hotel groups. Beginning his career in 1979, Alahdab possesses over 35 years of rich experience in hospitality and has thereby been recognized as a stalwart and one of the most progressive and energetic leaders in the industry. Before his current role, Alahdab held several significant positions in the finance and operations sectors, including CEO at Retaj Hospitality Group – Doha, Vice President and Regional Director for Africa & Indian Ocean Operations for Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Managing Director on assignment in Seychelles, General Manager for Le Meridien Libreville - Gabon, Complex Manager of Le Méridien l’Habitation and Le Domaine de Longvilliers - Saint Martin, as well as Area General Manager of Le Méridien Hotels in the Caribbean & French West Indies. In 20233, he was nominated The World’s Leading Travel Personality @ 2022 World Travel Award event – Muscat / Oman. Also, he was ranked 16th and 21st respectively in 2020 and 2019 in the top 50 Hoteliers Leaders in the Middle East (Hoteliers Middle East). Hassan has been a Member of AHIC – FHS Advisory Board - Future Hospitality Summit since 2018. Hassan Alahdab is also active in federating industry’s peers and in 2024, he was elected to become the Chairman of IHG Owners Association for IMEA region. Previously he was elected the President - Seychelles Hotels Associations from 1986-1991; Secretary General & co-founder Association des Professionnels du Tourisme du Gabon “Destination Gabon” from 1993-1995 and President St. Martin Hotels Association – AHSM from 1996-1998. Complimenting his multi-faceted skills in hotel operations and management, Alahdab holds a bachelor’s degree in economics, Commerce & Accounts Management from Damascus University. He also received the CEHMI (Geneva) honorary title – Executive Doctor for International Relations.
