Marko Vucinic

Marko has over 20 years of significant international experience in Hospitality and Real Estate, within the segments of Investment, Development, Asset Management and Business Development. Marko led projects in more than 15 countries across Europe, Middle East and Africa. He worked on projects with the value in excess of USD 50 billon. He has held numerous executive and leadership positions throughout the course of his career at blue chip International Corporations, Government Institutions, Semi-Government Entities, Publicly Listed Companies, Privately Owned Companies, etc. Marko is currently Executive Director of Investment & Asset Management at Knowledge Economic City (KEC). Prior to this, Marko’s experience includes being Head of Hospitality at Tourism Development Fund (TDF), Executive Director of Business Development at Public Investment Fund – Projects, Head of Investment at Al Rajhi Real Estate Investment, Senior Vice President at JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group for Middle East & North Africa, Head of Investment, Valuation and Advisory at Colliers SEE, several shorter roles such as Cushman & Wakefield, HSBC etc. Marko holds an Executive MBA at Cardiff Metropolitan University; Master’s Degree in Real Estate and Property Management at Salford University Manchester UK; Master’s Degree in Real Estate Management at KTH Royal Institute of Technology Stockholm Sweden (KTH). Marko’s academic background also includes Bachelor’s Degree at Gea College of Entrepreneurship Slovenia, being Exchange Student at Haaga-Helia University Finland, completing a course at Nan Kai University China. He also holds several specialized certificates and accreditations from Cornell University USA. Marko is also Fellow-RICS from Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Marko is originally from Slovenia (EU) and has been based in GCC for 13 years, out of which the last 8 years in Saudi Arabia.
