Siegfried Nierhaus: Vice President Deutsche Hospitality Middle East Siegfried Nierhaus says his family of German/Austrian restaurateurs and hoteliers is the source of his life-long passion for hospitality. Since1990, he has worked with some of the leading hospitality flags, such as Sheraton, Concorde, Hilton, Carlson, Rezidor and Steigenberger.
His over 30 year’s career has been dominated by 15 years spend in France and 15 years based in Dubai with responsibilities throughout the Middle East, India, Asia and Africa.
In the Middle East Siegfried had leading positions and board of Director Positions whilst he has been working for different international Hotel operators, Hotel owners and Hospitality Consultants.
In the past 20 years one of his major achievements have been in managing hotel openings of over 15 hotels from different brands in different continents.
In 2010 Siegfried became Managing Director at Atlas Hospitality an Abu Dhabi-based, multi-faceted hospitality owning company. Managing a diverse international portfolio of hotels, resorts and F&B concepts, spanning Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Singapore and the Seychelles, he also created the “Pascal Tepper Dine In French Bakery” concept which he developed as Franchise concept from scratch within the region.
Moving to Deutsche Hospitality in January 2015, as Vice President, Middle East and Asia, he was responsible for the strategic regional expansion and he opened the first Steigenberger Hotel and IntercityHotel in the region within 15 month of his assignment and have signed 6 additional contracts for different Deutsche Hospitality brands within the region.
Rejoining Atlas Hospitality in November 2017, he opened the Iconic Grand Hyatt Abu Dhabi Emirates Pearl, asset managed Radisson Blu Hotel, Dubai Media City and expanded further the Pascal Tepper French Bakery concept.
In April 2019 he joined the biggest Hospitality Consulting firm in the Middle East, Roya International as Director of Asset Management and Special Projects before Deutsche Hospitality called him back in November 2020 to take again the reins of the Middle East office for the German Hospitality leading company.
Siegfried describes himself as a passionate, dedicated, resultoriented hospitality professional who maintains mutually beneficial relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
