Shaun Killa is an award-winning architect with over 30 years of international experience, recognized for pioneering sustainable, low-carbon design. As the founder of Killa Design, he leads a studio dedicated to creating architecture that is innovative, contextually inspired, and environmentally responsible. Shaun is best known for designing Dubai’s Museum of the Future, a global icon of innovation. His portfolio includes Shebara Resort in Saudi Arabia, a hyper-luxury, fully off-grid resort operating with net-zero emissions, water, and waste. Most recently, he completed the Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab, a 500-key, five-star resort that opened in March 2025 and forms the final chapter of an architectural trilogy alongside the Jumeirah Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel. Across all his work, Shaun champions designs that are expressive, timeless, and technically ambitious. His projects challenge the norm, driven by a commitment to sustainable urbanism and holistic thinking. Within the studio, he mentors the next generation of architects, fostering a culture of collaboration and exploration. Shaun regularly speaks at international conferences, advocating for regenerative design and the future of resilient cities.
